The story

Welcome to Wild Daisy Flower Farm. Growing speciality cut flowers with a wild and whimsical feel right here on the farm located in the little village of Fangfoss, between Pocklington, Stamford Bridge and Wilberfoss in East Yorkshire. Our flowers are sown and grown with love, hand picked and hand selected for you. I want you to know our flowers are not mass produced and instead capturing nature at it’s best, including a bit of mystery along the way. This is what inspires me every day.

Back to my roots

Turning an ancient grass field, once used for grazing our herd of Holstein dairy cows, into a meadow of wild flowers. At Wild Daisy we grow and produce speciality cut flowers for both fresh and dried creations. Born out of a love of muted palettes and a wild and whimsical form, I am constantly drawn to nature, back to my roots.

Growing up on a dairy and arable farm, growing and nurturing are in my blood. I am a mum of two girls, owner of 9 sheep of which my favourite are the Grey Faced Dartmoors, 7 chickens, Shetland pony and a Cocker Spaniel. I work part time as a Physiotherapist for the NHS which draws on my nurturing skills but I have always had a strong pull to go back to my roots. I have always had a love for flowers often picking posies and making rose petal perfume when I was little. This love of flowers has stayed with me. Learning from my Grandma’s and their love of gardening and flowers, my father-in-law’s passion for growing, and my Mum, whose wild and whimsical style of arranging flowers has inspired me.

Being no expert in the field of growing on a larger scale then for my garden, I have spent the past few years planning, researching and learning as much as possible about growing and drying flowers. Listening to podcasts at every opportunity, attending webinars and doing several courses. My learning journey is just beginning really, as I am a true believer that experience teaches you the most. So really, Wild Daisy is a hobby that got outa hand!

My aim is to offer flowers that capture a natural, from the garden feel, so you can bring the magic of nature into your home, concentrating on growing flowers that are not well suited for mass production or long-distance shipping. Therefore the flowers we grow are often unique varieties and are a unique selected colour palette.

Over the past few years, growing flowers has brought me some much needed calmness, peace and positivity, when the world was a little upside down. For me, flowers, and the process of growing flowers are a huge symbol of hope.
